About Kristen

Kristen has a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from UNLV and two years of graduate studies. She has also continued her musical education with the Barbershop Harmony Society by participating in workshops for chorus directors and vocal production classes. She is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California and the Contra Costa Performing Arts Society.

Kristen teaches private piano and voice lessons, accompanies, and directs. She is the Musical Director for the Devil Mountain Men’s Barbershop Chorus in Walnut Creek. Kristen is also the Musical Director for Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Hill. She has experience directing and accompanying choirs of all ages, teaching music in schools (grades K-6), teaching group and private piano lessons to college music and non-music majors, and directing men’s barbershop choruses.

Kristen’s 20 years of professional music experiences have been wonderfully diverse, and she has enjoyed the many opportunities to teach and share her love of music!
